RC Cola started off with mediocre numbers, but thanks to our new rebranding focused on its 'Southern roots', its performance took off like a cork from a fizzy cola. The response was absolutely phenomenal! Over our three-year collaboration, demand in the gastro sector skyrocketed to 120% (a full 11% market share in 2019), and since 2016, the margin has grown more than fivefold. Moreover, the current share of Royal Crown Cola purchased among other colas in hypermarkets accounts for a whole third! Equally important is the increase in brand recognition of Royal Crown Cola among respondents aged 25-40 by a full 51%. These and other successes confirm that even an unremarkable product can become a hit with the right communication. Furthermore, 77% of surveyed customers say that Royal Crown Cola is 'the American one'.
All achieved results were built on a strong strategy that maintained consistency across all communication channels. The communication concept was developed in the Czech Republic in collaboration with the American headquarters, and thanks to its success, it will be applied to other European markets in the future (Belgium, France, Denmark, Romania). But you know, nice and slow. And several prestigious awards confirm that long-term efforts paid off. Royal Crown Cola has won 3 ADC Czech Creative Awards in the categories of Craft, Film, and Online Film, as well as 1 Golden Effie in the category of Long-term Brand Building. Among other achievements, the market share increased to 11% and brand recognition to 51% over two years.
